Session: Importance of, and techniques for, learning your family’s pre-contact history
Kae Elgie is the author of This Land: the story of two hundred acres in Kent County, Ontario (Fountain Street Press, 2019, ISBN 978-0-9812776-3-9), a work which benefited greatly from Kae’s membership in the Kent County Branch, Ontario Genealogical Society.
Her pre-retirement work as Manager, Information Technology for Region of Waterloo Library and her ongoing learning about how information is organized greatly help her family history and genealogy research work. She is Past Chair, Architectural Conservancy Ontario, where she puts her interest in heritage and passion for making it accessible to others into practice.
