Friday Keynote: Indigenous Archaeology and History in the Grand River Valley

Gary Warrick is Professor Emeritus in Indigenous Studies, History, and Archaeology and Heritage Studies, Wilfrid Laurier University, a Senior Archaeologist with Archaeological Research Associates Ltd., and holds a True Visitor position with York University. Prior to his university career (1999-2020), he was an archaeologist with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (1989-1999). His research is the archaeology and history of the Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee (Six Nations of the Grand River). Current research interests are Indigenous cultural landscapes and assisting the Haudenosaunee with management of the natural and cultural heritage of the Grand River. He lives in Brantford, Ontario.
